i’m really looking forward to wearing florals this spring, yes how cliché of me, but i’ve never really been into them in past seasons. one of my favorite ways to wear them is a  blazer or a sheer top with black skinnies.

i saw these in a travel magazine and went ahead and looked for ‘whitepod’ a new concept of eco-tourism that blends luxury and the best of nature in one. located in the swiss alps, the pods are anchored in wooden platforms, and naturally isolated from the cold and snow. They all have wood-burning stoves, luxury bedding and bathrooms, and spectacular views. definitely added to my bucket list.

2011 was not a bad year for music, one of my favorite bands, radiohead came out with an amazing album and so did girls, cut copy, toro y moi among others that never disappoint. we were also introduced to new artists such as my new fav st. vincent,  lana del rey, and washed out that will surely only get better with time.  this is a summary of my favorite and most memorable songs of 2011. here’s to an even better 2012. enjoy.

i’ve been wanting a phone case for a while now and the ones that are always attached to your phone, don’t do it for me. if i could have my phone without a plastic case it would be great, but it always gets scratched especially when its tossed around inside my purse all day. solution? a balenciaga leather case that will protect your phone when not in use. the hard part is picking a color. mariel xx

i’ve posted pictures of unorganized art wall that really appeal to me. i especially like it when the photos are random and have no specific theme or unity. the ones in this photo are particularly nice because they are in a corner. the zebra table is also amazing. i’m using this picture as inspiration for my bedroom and office.  mariel xx
